Day 01: Arrive Delhi
Arrive by International flight, after traditional "Swagat" (Welcome) our representative would assist you at airport & transfer to hotel for check in. Delhi is a bustling metropolis, which successfully combines in its folds the ancient with modern. Its strategic location was the prime reasons why successive dynasties chose it as their seat of power. In fact, more mythological cities are believed to be here, like the city of Indraprastha from the Hindu epic Mahabharata, founded around 5000 BC. Numerous monuments were built over several centuries by different rulers like Qutub-ud-din Aibek, Alauddin Khilji, Tughlaks, Humayun & Shah Jahan, who built the Walled City Shah Jahanabad. Day 02: Delhi – Kathgodam (By Shatabdi Express Train @ 06:15 – 11: 50) & Kathgodam – Kausani (135 kms – 3.5 hrs)
Early morning we will take a train for Kathgodam. Arrive and meet our representative at railway station and drive to Kausani. On arrival Check in at hotel. The place offers an excellent 300 km. wide views of the Nanda Devi group of Mountains. Majestic view of the snow covered Trishul and Nanda Devi is so clear that one gets a feeling of the snow within touching distance. Day free for leisure activities. Overnight stay in Kausani
Day 03: Kausani (Baijnath Temple & Excursion of Almora)
Morning start your day with the view of sun rising from behind the Himalayan range. After breakfast we will visit to Baijnath Temple. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the ancient temple gives the hint of the early medieval North Indian style of architecture. It was built in 1204 A.D. by two local merchants named Ahuka and Manyuka. The temple is a beautiful example of the early medieval north Indian temple architecture, which was popularly known as Nagara style of temples.
Later we will take an excursion of Almora. An exceptionally beautiful place that is referred as the 'Switzerland of India', Almora is perfectly defined by three adjectives; romance, charm and serenity. As you arrive here you are taken for a sightseeing tour of the famous and beautiful spots of Almora. Later we drive back to Kausani for over night stay. Overnight stay in Kausani
Day 04: Kausani – Ranikhet (60 kms – 2 hrs)
Morning after breakfast we drive to Ranikhet. Arrive and check in to hotel. Later visiting Jhula Devi Temple, etc. Evening is free for leisure. Overnight stay in Ranikhet
Day 05: Ranikhet – Nainital (60 kms - 2 hrs)
Morning after breakfast we drive to Nainital en route Ranikhet, visiting Jhula Devi Temple, etc. Continuous drive to Nainital. Arrive and check in to hotel hotel. Evening is free for leisure. Overnight stay in Nainital
Day 06: Nainital
Today we proceed for sightseeing of Naina Devi temple, situated amidst the beautiful Naini lake. Enjoy boat ride in the lake. Climb another 800 feet by rope-way and reach breathtaking Snow View Point. Visit Nainital high altitude Zoo and proceed to Hanuman Gadhi Sunset Point. In the evening one can go for a boat ride at Naini Lake, visit Naini Temple. Overnight stay in Nainital
Day 07: Nainital – Corbett National Park (80 kms – 2.5 hrs)
Today after breakfast we drive to Jim Corbett National Park named after Jim Corbett, the legendary British, who turned from being a hunter to a conservationist. There are a lot of interesting stories & anecdotes in the atmosphere about him & his experiences. Nestling in foothills of Himalayas, it has an extremely varied topography & vegetation. This gives it a rich diversity of habitat & natural beauty. Flat valleys are interspersed with hilly ridges, Park's rolling grasslands known as 'Chaurs' provide visitors with an excellent view of the animals. The Park spans across some 920.9 square km at an altitude of 600-1100 metres about the foothills of western Himalayas in the districts of Nainital & Pauri Garhwal. Corbett has a good Tiger population. It was here that "Project Tiger" was launched in 1973 to conserve the dwindling population of Tigers. Four species of deer Hog deer, Sambhar, Spotted deer & Barking deer & other prey like wild boar, support the predators. Besides Tiger, Corbett biosphere reserve is a heaven for 50 mammals, 580 kinds of birds & 25 reptile species. Park has elephants, Himalayan black bear in the higher elevations, sloth bear, variety of lesser cats & a large variety of avifauna. Upon arrival we check-in the hotel. Evening at leisure. Day 08: Corbett National Park
Today we shall take you for two jungle safaris. Morning at 0530 hrs & in the afternoon at 1500 hrs. Morning safari is before breakfast & afternoon safari after lunch. We'll have plenty of time for leisure during the Day. Overnight stay in Corbett
Day 09: Corbett National Park – Haridwar (130 kms – 4 hrs)
Morning we drive to Haridwar. Arrive Haridwar and check in to hotel. It is on the banks of River Ganges (Ganga) & located at the foothills of the lower Himalayan Range of the Shivalik mountains. It is an important pilgrimage site for Hindus. When the Ganges leaves the mountains & enters the plains, Haridwar is the first major town on the plains. Though the Ganges does not lose its rapids completely, nevertheless it becomes very quiet & calm here. Haridwar has earned fame as being the place, which has been blessed by the trinity of the Lords Shiva, Vishnu & Brahma. Its also one of the major Shaktipeeths. Down the ages, Haridwar has purified the mind, body & soul of people not only in spiritual or religious terms but as a major learning centre for arts, science & culture. Overnight stay in Haridwar
Day 10: Haridwar
Today morning we visit Mansa Devi temple, Chandi devi, Bharat Mata Mandir and various other temples. In the evening enjoy the spectacular view of ‘Aarti’ at Har Ki Pauri. Overnight stay in Haridwar
Day 11: Haridwar – Rishikesh - Delhi (230 kms – 6.5 hrs)
Today we drive to Delhi en route visiting Rishikesh. Rishikesh, a very important Hindu pilgrimage site. Its also a cluster of Ashrams & temples giving the entire place a spiritual feeling. The ceaseless flow of the river, regarded as Goddess Ganga adds to the beauty & the purity of the place. Along the river, area is filled with thick green forests in the montainous region. Rishikesh is famous for its yoga sessions that are taught here by many yoga experts. Besides the sadhus & saints, a mass of tourists too visit here every year to have a look at this much heard place. If the wonderful scenery & the numerous pilgrimage sites are not enough, Rishikesh also makes some of the most popular adventure sport destination of India. River rafting, trekking, rock climbing, hiking etc are some of the activities one can easily opt for.
Here we visit Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula, Geeta Bhawan, other temples & ashrams. Afternoon we will drive to Delhi. Arrive Delhi and check in to hotel. Overnight stay in Delhi
Day 12: Delhi Departure
Today after breakfast check out the hotel and transfer you to airport to board the flight for onward destination.
